Mackerel displayed their memory and wish inspired decorations on our tree at Eden with the help of Mr Rowe on the Thursday night and then on Friday 3rd December myself and half a dozen ‘fearless’ children and families braved the cold and icy, went to see the lights switched on and take part in the festivities. Two families even stayed to the lantern parade at 8.45pm which ended in blazing, moving figures and fireworks to illustrate the traditional tale being sung by a local choir and accompanied by a folk band.
