February and March 2010 have been full of action packed learning for Clams class. We have had a fantastic time during our topic on “Celebrations”.
We had a super day at Paradise Park on St Piran’s Day. We saw the Cornish Chough, some of us fed the penguins and we collected lots of ideas for our mask designs……
We have learnt in DT how to join materials together so that we can create features on masks….
We spent a long time decorating our masks so that they looked like our original designs and like the birds we were trying to recreate……
We have been learning to create sequences and patterns of sounds in Music using percussion instruments…..
We had great fun using the computers to create music sequences…..
We have been learning football skills with “Chippy” Chapman from Plymouth Argyle….
Book day was amazing because we saw so many characters from stories that we know……
Maths has been very exciting as we have been helping Mr Noah to keep the ark straight by halving the number of animals he has on the ark…….
We have been learning to measure length and we weighed the Gingerbread men to see how heavy they are… You can see photos of some of the different activities we have been doing by clicking here...
