HOW WE SPEND THE MONEY WE RAISE

Following a fundraising event, the money is banked straight away. It is at our FOBS Committee meetings, that the decisions on how to spend the money are agreed.

Usually, we will have a ‘wish list’ of items the school would like FOBS to consider funding. This is generally for resources to improve a particular area of the curriculum or school environment. FOBS funds are spent on the ‘extras’ that are not provided by the school’s budget, thus making our children’s learning experiences so much more fulfilling and exciting. We encourage teachers and parents to come forward with ideas to consider funding.

Each year the association places £1000.00 of their income into a special account to support ‘Outdoor Education’. This is in remembrance of Jean Hawkin who gave a great deal of her time to support the school. At the Annual General Meeting (December 2015) we agreed to increase this contribution to £1500.00 due to the expansion of the school.
