Key Policies

Directors noted that most ACE admissions policies do not include children of members of staff as a criteria and considered it of greater importance that the Trust should ensure school places are available to children from the designated area of each ACE academy.  Directors considered this decision to be reasonable, clear and procedurally fair: They also considered that this did not disadvantage unfairly, either directly or indirectly, a child from a particular social or racial group, or a child with a disability or special educational needs.  Directors noted that all remaining criteria were exactly as agreed for each previous individual ACE Admissions Policy; and children with an Education, Health and Care Plan or Statement of Special Educational Needs that names an ACE Academy will be admitted regardless of the number on roll in the year group.
