KTSA - Kernow Teaching School Alliance
The Kernow Teaching School Alliance is an alliance of schools and colleges across the coastal & rural county of Cornwall. The breadth and depth of experience of its partners spans all educational phases and sectors, from Nursery to Post 16 and Higher Education.
The academies that originally worked together under the banner of the KCT are now organised into three multi academy trusts. These 12 academies are still working closely together, but in association with the Kernow Teaching School Alliance.
The alliance ensures improvement in its academies by working with pupils to enhance their learning, and by forging positive relationships with teachers to produce resilient, confident, capable and self-assured learners. The opportunities for school improvement, training and development and career progression are paramount across the trusts.
The KTSA delivers a comprehensive School Improvement Service which is open to all schools. They can offer bespoke support and training at EYFS/FS, KS1-KS5 , academy conversion & business management. Schools are also able to purchase a comprehensive school improvement package.
Jennie Walker, ACE MAT Executive Principal, is the lead for the KTSA Primary School Improvement package. She implements action plans of schools joining the alliance and co-ordinates school improvement activities for the maximum benefit of all schools.
